WOW! God's Friendship! - Friendship Chain

Remember – you don’t have to pray, you can use these activities to think and reflect too.

We will be making chain of 4 people. You can use our TEMPLATE or draw your own template. You must make sure the hands go right to the edges, and it’s a good idea to make the feet go to the edges too. This will help it stay together when it’s opened out.

Put on some nice calming music if you want to. You can find some by clicking Extra Bits at the top of this page.

1. Print the TEMPLATE, this will be enough for 2 people to make a chain each.

2. Cut along the thin solid line and take one part each.

3. Fold along the dotted line in a zig zag way.

4. Keep your paper folded and cut out your person through all 4 layers. Ask an adult to help if you need to.

5. Carefully open up the fold, it should look like 4 people holding hands.

6. Decorate each person as one of your friends.

7. As you are decorating each friend, think about these questions:

   • What is your friend's name?

   • What do you like about them?

   • What are they good at?

   • Why are they special to you?

   • Thank you, God, for my friend, …………… (say their name)
